Pagoda
Yuyuan Gardens, one of China’s finest gardens, is located in the center of Shanghai, not far from the Bund. Tt was established in 1559 as a private garden by Pan Yunduan who spent twenty years and all of his savings to build the garden for his parents to enjoy in their old age.
Over the centuries the garden fell into disarray. In 1956 the city of Shanghai repaired the park and it was opened to the public in 1961.
